Unusual to start with an ITV promotion - but with the Princess Cruises 4-part fly-on-the-wall documentary about to be aired prime time we are very excited about the opportunity that this offers for cruise holidays to take central stage... read more here

And that positive news is very much in evidence.  This week Carnival Cruise Lines announced very positive earnings figures for the second quarter of 2014 - and this happened alongside improvements in fuel efficiency: read more here

Meanwhile over at Royal Caribbean, they are hoping to target more affluent travellers with their new Quantum Class cruise ships - of which Anthem of the Seas is to be based in Southampton in 2015.  Read more here.
